ANSWER – UNO
What is UNO?
UNO is a game played with special cards. Each player gets a hand of cards and the goal is to be the first to get rid of all their cards. The game is played with 2 to 10 players, which means you can play with just one friend or a large group of people.
How to play UNO
The game begins with each player receiving seven cards. The rest of the cards are placed face down in the middle. This pile is called the draw pile. The game begins by turning over the top card from this pile. This turned over card starts a new pile called the discard pile.
When it’s your turn, you can do one of two things:
Play a card: If a card matches the color or number of the top card, you can put it in the discard pile. For example, if the top card is red and shows a 5, you can put any red card or any card that shows a 5.
Draw a card: If you can’t play a card, you must draw a card from the draw pile. If this card can be played, you can put it down. If not, your turn ends.
UNO has special cards that make the game even more exciting:
Skip card: If you play this card, the next player loses their turn.
Reverse card: This card changes the direction of play. If you were playing clockwise, you will now play counterclockwise.
Draw two cards: The next player must draw two cards and loses their turn.
Wild Card: This card lets you change the color of the game to any color.
Wild Draw Four Card: This is the most powerful card! It allows you to change the color and make the next player draw four cards.
Shouting “UNO!”
When you only have one card left in your hand, you must shout “UNO!”. If another player catches you not saying “UNO” before your next turn, you must draw two cards as a penalty.
UNO is not just about luck; it also requires strategy and thinking. You have to decide which cards to play and when to use your special cards.
